Description
27 High Street is a shop that has been converted into a house, dating from the 18th century and later. The building features painted brick on the front and painted roughcast on the rear gable. It has a roof made of interlocking tiles and plain tiles, along with a brick chimney integrated into the eaves. The front of the building has a two-storey, two-window layout, with restored 8/8 sash windows on the first floor and 2/2 sash windows on the ground floor. These windows have painted keyed lintels with raised keyblocks, and the ground-floor windows have replaced former shop bay windows. There is a central doorway with a 20th-century door. At the back, there is a gabled two-storey and attic wing, featuring various casement windows with a hoodmould on the first floor, and the single purlin roof is visible. The interior has not been inspected. The building is included for its group value.
