Description
22 High Street is a house that has been converted into a shop. It dates from the early 19th century and has undergone some later alterations. The building is made of painted brick and features a pantiled roof. It stands three storeys high and has a single bay. The ground floor has a 20th-century shop front. Above it, there is a 20th-century casement window in the original opening, and on the second floor, there is a tripartite sash window. This window has unequal three-pane sashes on either side of a former nine-pane sash, with the glazing bars missing from the lower sash. Both windows are set below flat brick arches and have projecting sills. The building also has a wooden eaves board and a tall brick end stack on the right. This property is included in the listing for its group value only.
