Description
No. 25 High Street is a house that has been converted into a shop and offices. It dates from the late 18th century to early 19th century and has undergone some alterations over time. The building is constructed of red brick, featuring gauged brick and stone dressings, and has a tarred slate roof. It stands three storeys high and has three bays. The ground floor has a 20th-century shop front with a recessed door on the right side that provides access to the upper floors. The first floor has three full-height plate glass sash windows, while the second floor has three smaller sash windows. All the windows are set beneath flat brick arches, with the second-floor windows having projecting stone sills. A moulded stone cornice runs along the top of the building, and there are brick stacks at each end.
