Description
No. 41 High Street is a house that has been converted into a shop and offices. It dates from the late 18th century and has undergone some alterations in the 20th century. The building is constructed of painted brick with stone dressings and has a concrete tile roof. It stands three storeys tall and has three bays. The ground floor features a 20th-century shop front that is not of special interest. On the first floor, there is a central oriel window with a tripartite bow window that has a curved 12-pane sash window at the front and 4-pane sashes on the sides. The first floor also has a moulded cornice and a lead roof. Flanking the oriel are 12-pane sash windows with projecting stone sills beneath cambered brick heads. The upper floor has three similar sash windows, also beneath cambered heads and with projecting sills, and features a moulded stone cornice. The building has brick end stacks.
