Description
No. 26 High Street is a house that has been converted into a shop with an office, dating from around 1800, with later additions and alterations, including a shop front from the 1990s. The building is constructed of reddish-brown brick and features stuccoed sills and arches, along with stone copings and a concealed roof. It stands three storeys tall and has two first-floor windows. The first and second floors have 1/1 horned sash windows, all set in plain reveals, with sills and flat arches that include raised, coped keystones. The building is topped with a low coped parapet. The ground floor has a Victorian-style shop front with plate glass windows and a glazed door entrance to the left. The interior has not been inspected. This building is part of a notable group of 18th and 19th-century listed buildings on the High Street.
