Description

This is a shop dating from the 18th century, with later additions. It is primarily brick constructed, with stone rubble to the rear. The roof is covered with interlocking tiles and slate, featuring a brick ridge stack to the front range and an integral gable-end stack to the rear wing.

The front of the shop has two storeys and two windows, with 20th-century multi-pane windows designed to resemble original 8/8 sash windows on the first floor. The ground floor features 19th-century double-fronted box bay windows; the left-hand window has glazing bars. A central doorway contains a 19th-century glazed and panelled door with a top light, all beneath a wooden cornice. To the right is a covered way with a boarded door set within a painted three-centred brick arched opening. A gabled rear extension includes two and single-storey ranges and further gable-end brick stacks. The interior was not inspected.
