Description
This is a house built over three shops, dating from the early 19th century. The building is constructed of painted brick, with a decorative dentil course along the eaves, and a rendered side gable. The front roof slopes downwards with slate tiles, while the rear has tiled roofs. Integral brick stacks are visible at the gable ends.
The building is two storeys high. The first floor has three four-pane sash windows without sills. Number 21 has a 19th-century shop front, featuring a projecting box bay window and a pilastered doorcase with a corniced fascia. It has a panelled glazed door with a top light. Numbers 22 and 22A have 20th-century shop fronts. A first-floor casement window is located on the left-hand side gable end. At the rear, there are rendered brick gabled extension wings, also with 20th-century casement windows.
The interior has not been inspected. The building is included on the list for its contribution to the group value of the surrounding buildings.
