Description

This milestone, located approximately 300 meters north-east of England Shelve Farmhouse, dates from the mid to late 19th century. It is made of white painted stone with black lettering and features a rounded, ledged top. The top is inscribed with the word "MILES" radially, and it also indicates the distances to B. Castle (7 miles) and Shrewsbury (13 miles).
