Description

This is a milestone located approximately 200 meters south of Walkmill Bridge, dating from the mid to late 19th century. It is made of white painted stone with a black base and black lettering. The milestone features a rounded, ledged top with the word 'MILES' inscribed radially at the top, along with the distances 'B.CASTLE 5' and 'SHREWSBURY / 15'.
