Description
This milestone, located approximately 470 metres north of the junction of the A489 with the B4383, dates from the mid to late 19th century. It is made of white painted stone with a black base and black lettering. The milestone has a rounded top and features the word "MILES" at the top, with "B CASTLE 2" and "SHREWSBURY 18" inscribed below. It was previously marked with "SHREWSBURY 18½".
