Description

This milestone, located approximately 130 metres to the south-west of Greenfield Cottages, dates from the mid to late 19th century. It is made of white painted stone with black lettering and features a rounded top. The top is lettered "MILES" radially, with "B.CASTLE 3" and "SHREWSBURY 17" inscribed below. It was formerly marked with "SHREWSBURY 17½".
