Description
Sunville and Sunbank Cottage are a pair of labourers' cottages built in the mid-19th century, with later additions and alterations. The cottages are constructed from uncoursed limestone rubble and feature overhanging eaves and verges, along with projecting end stacks that have paired brick shafts. They are two storeys tall and have three windows in total—one for Sunville and two for Sunbank Cottage. The windows are multi-paned metal casements with Gothic glazing, and the ground floor windows consist of three lights under cambered heads. The entrances are through 20th-century doors, located to the right in Sunville and in the centre for Sunbank Cottage. Additionally, Sunville has a two-storeyed red brick extension at right angles to the rear, built in the mid-20th century.
