Description
Little Overs is a house dating from the late 17th century, which underwent significant alterations in the mid-19th century. It features a timber frame set on a stone plinth with plastered infill. The front and right-hand side have been replaced with rubblestone, which is now roughcast, while the left-hand side is finished in red brick. The house has a slate roof and a central brick chimney located behind the ridge.
It stands two storeys tall and has three windows, which are mid to late 19th century metal casements with Gothic-style glazing beneath cambered heads. The central entrance has a ledged door. The timber framing is exposed at the rear, displaying irregular square panels with four panels extending from the cill to the wall plate, as the eaves have been raised from their original height. Additionally, there is a projecting bread oven topped with a conical slate cap.
