II

Farmhouse and attached cowhouse. Probably early to mid-C18, altered and extended in mid-C19. Uncoursed limestone rubble and brick dressings, slate roof, axial brick ridge stack to right of centre. Aligned north-south, aspect west; perhaps a longhouse derivative. 2 storeys; 3 windows on first floor (with a further blocked opening beneath stack), 4 to ground, including one to attached cowhouse to left, all late C19 metal casements, those to left of stack with Gothic glazing and cambered heads; ledged door to left of centre. Both ground floor rooms have heavy spine beams and joists and the fireplace in the room to the right a massive, curved timber lintel.
