Description
Woodcote is a house dating from the late 17th century, which was restored in the late 20th century. It features a timber frame with rendered infill and a tiled roof. The house consists of three framed bays that are aligned from north-west to south-east. There is a chimney stack situated between two rear bays, which has a rebuilt brick shaft. The south gable facing the street has two storeys, with a two-light casement window on each floor. The entrance is located on the left-hand (south) return front and includes a gabled tiled porch with a 20th-century panelled door. On the north side, there is a 20th-century lean-to. The framing of the house consists of four square panels high, with the upper panels on the gable end each subdivided by a stud. The truss includes five struts below the collar, two struts above, and trenched purlins. The building is included for its group value.
