Description
The Old School is a house dating from the 17th century, which was restored in the late 20th century. It features a timber-frame construction with rendered infill set on a coursed rubble plinth, topped with a slate roof. The building has three framed bays, a gable, and a brick stack on the west side. It is one storey high with an attic that is illuminated by three 20th-century gabled dormers. On the ground floor, there are three 2-light casement windows, and the entrance is located to the left of centre, sheltered by a lean-to tiled canopy that also covers a square oriel window. The entrance features a 20th-century ledged and boarded door. The framing consists of four square panels high, and the gable-end truss includes three struts to the collar and V-struts in the apex.
