Description

This is an early 17th-century timber-frame house, extended in the late 17th century and the mid-20th century. The house has a rendered timber frame on a painted rubble plinth, and a tile roof. It has three framed bays aligned east to west, with a lateral stack on the south wall of the west bay. The north front is two storeys high with a gable-lit attic. It features a two-light casement window on the first floor, and two two-light casement windows on the ground floor. An entrance is provided through a 20th-century glazed porch on the rear (south) wall. The timber frame consists of three square panels in height, with straight angle braces. The gable-end truss shows three struts to the collar, with V-struts in the apex, and trenched purlins. Inside, there are exposed chamfered spine beams with run-out stops.
