Description
Church Yard Cottage is a house dating from the late 17th century, with some alterations from the mid-19th century. It features a timber frame with painted brick infill set on a rubble plinth, topped by a corrugated iron roof. The building has three framed bays arranged in a north/south orientation, with an external rubble chimney stack on the north gable. The west side, which faces the garden, is a single storey with an attic that is illuminated by a gabled dormer. There are three windows on this front; the two outer ones are 2-light casements, while the middle one is a fixed casement. The entrance, located to the left of the center, has a ledged and boarded door. The framing consists of three square panels high, and the north gable truss includes two struts to the collar and trenched purlins.
