Description
Nupend Farmhouse is a farmhouse dating from the 17th century, with additions made in the mid-19th century and alterations in the 20th century. The building is timber-framed with rendered infill, a sandstone plinth, and stacks featuring brick shafts. There are later brick additions at the rear and a slate roof. The farmhouse has three framed bays aligned north-east to south-west, facing south-east, with end stacks and an entrance located left of center. The south-east front is two storeys high and features three windows, which are 2-light casements from the 20th century. Two of the windows are closely set within square panelling, with one window to the left and two windows to the right of a ledged door. The framing has been altered but remains fairly complete, originally consisting of three square panels from the sill to the wall-plate, though the roof line has been raised, resulting in four panels now.
