8/17 Upper Holme Farmhouse

Farmhouse. C17, altered during late C19 and C20. Timber-framed with part wattle-and-daub infill, refaced in brick to south-west front and later additions also in brick; rendered to north-west side; sandstone rubble plinth and stacks with three diagonal shafts to north-west stack. Tile roof. L-plan with wings aligned north-west/south-east and north-east/ south-west, with further additions to north-east and to south-west; main external stack to north-west gable end, entrance to south-west. Two storeys. South-west front: 3-light C20 window to left and later forward projecting gabled addition to right with 2-light C20 window. Gabled C20 partly glazed porch to ground floor with half-glazed door. Square-panelled timber-framing is rendered to rear. Interior inaccessible.
