Description
Lower Holme Farmhouse is a farmhouse dating from the 17th century, with later alterations in the 19th and 20th centuries. It features square-panelled timber-framing with painted brick infill and some refacing on a sandstone rubble plinth, topped with a Welsh slate roof. The building has a T-shaped plan, with a cross-wing at the southwest end and later additions to the northeast end and rear. There are end and lateral stacks, and the entrance is located on the southeast front.
The southeast front shows the gable end of the cross-wing projecting to the left, which has 20-pane glazing bar sash windows. To the right of this, there are two 6-pane glazing bar sash windows in the main range. A partly glazed lean-to porch with a partly-glazed door is located to the right of a three-light window. The interior is not accessible for viewing.
