Description

This is a barn located approximately 15 meters east of Lower Ponthendre. It dates from the 17th century, with late 18th-century additions and 20th-century alterations and minor additions. The barn is constructed of sandstone rubble and features a stone slate roof. It has five bays and is aligned east to west, with a projecting gabled porch on the north front. To the east, there is a later 18th-century cow shed that adjoins the barn, and a 20th-century addition is located to the left of the porch on the north front. The barn includes inclined strut trusses. The nearby Lower Ponthendre Farmhouse has been altered and is not included in this listing.
