Description
This is a barn located about 45 metres west of Park Farmhouse, dating from the late 18th century, with some later alterations. It is constructed from sandstone rubble and features a slate roof, a pantiled wing to the right, and a double Roman tiled wing to the left, with a stone ridge. The barn has a central wide gabled cart entry with double doors that have a segmental head, and there are additional doors with segmental heads on both the right and left sides. To the right, there is a single storey 20th-century addition, while the left wing has two doors and the right wing includes a door and a 20th-century lean-to.
Inside, the barn has a five-bay roof supported by a tie-beam, two queen-posts with braces on the sides, a collar, and one row of purlins. There is a heavy lower tie-beam that supports part of the barn's floor. This barn is part of a planned farmyard that is contemporary with Park Farmhouse.
