Description
The Railway Hotel is a public house built in the mid 18th century, with minor extensions added in the 19th century. It features squared and coursed rubble with freestone dressings and a double Roman tile roof. The building has two storeys and three windows. All windows are three-light edge-moulded mullions with 19th-century casements, except for the central upper window, which is round-headed and has Y tracery glazing. There are continuous dripmoulds on each floor. The central doorway has a flat hood supported by carved brackets and a 20th-century door. A brick stack is located at the northwest end.
