Description
The Plough Inn is a public house dating from the 17th century. It is constructed of coursed rubble stone and features an old tile roof, along with a large brick stack that has pilasters and an offset head positioned to the right of the center. The building stands two storeys high with an attic and has four bays. The windows are leaded casements with moulded wooden cornices above; there is a four-light window on the ground floor of the second bay and above the entrance, while the remaining windows are three-light. The building has two gabled dormers, each with three-light casements, and the left dormer has a leaded central pane. The lobby entry, located in the third bay, features the original nine-panelled oak door set in a moulded frame. To the right, there is a single-storey extension with a hipped tiled roof, and there are 20th-century extensions at the rear right.
