Description
The Methodist Church, dated 1810, features incised render on the entrance front and rough render on the side walls, with freestone openings and slate roofs. It is a two-storey building with a two-bay east front. The lower windows are 8-pane sashes, while the upper windows are similarly styled with round heads. All windows have keystones and sills. The central entrance consists of a two-leaf plank door set in a round-arched surround, complete with a patterned fanlight above. A datestone is located between the upper windows, and the building has a parapet with concave curved ends and hipped roofs. Inside, the church boasts a fine contemporary interior featuring a panelled gallery supported by cast iron columns on three sides, a central pulpit with steps leading up at the west end, panelled walls, benches, and a plank roof. There is also a schoolroom located behind the west end.
