Description

The United Reformed Church, dating from 1820, is a smooth, lined rendered building with a painted plinth and a hipped slate roof. It is a 3-bay hall, with a gable facing the road. The church has a central entrance, plus a round-headed window on each side and one above. The windows have wooden glazing bars. The doorway is topped with a segmented head and has fluted pilasters on either side, and original double doors with fielded panels. The original porch was replaced in the mid-20th century. A school room was added to the left side in 1885, as indicated by a datestone.
