Description

The Fox and Hounds Public House is a public house dating from the mid-18th century and 19th century. It features squared coursed rubble with a thatched roof. The original building has a two-unit plan and is a single storey with an attic, showcasing a three-window range of plain wood casements with wood lintels. The central entrance consists of a four-panelled part-glazed door. There is a 19th-century porch with two flights, along with two dormers and one eyebrow dormer. To the north, there is an 18th-century carriage arch topped with a stone slate roof. A tall 19th-century single bay wing extends to the south, which is two storeys high and includes a cellar. This wing features tripartite sashes with glazing bars under wood lintels, and there are brick stacks at the ridge and ends.
