Description

Number 63 in Great Brington is a house dating from the mid-18th century. It is constructed of squared coursed lias stone and features a thatched roof. The house has a three-unit plan and stands two storeys tall, with a four-window arrangement of casement windows that have leaded lights. The ground floor windows have flat arch heads, while those on the first floor are supported by wooden lintels. There are two doors, which are plank and braced. The gabled roof has brick stacks at the ridge and an end stack on the left side, which may have been added in the late 18th century. Inside, there is an open fire with a bressumer beam in the central room.
