Description

Pontynys Bridge is a bridge over the River Monnow, dating from the early 19th century. It is constructed of sandstone rubble with sandstone ashlar dressings. The bridge features three spans over the river, with cutwaters that rise to plain pilasters. The bridge is also shown on the Ordnance Survey map as Pont-yr-ynys.
