Description

This dovecote, located about 100 metres north of Burton Court, dates from the late 17th century to early 18th century, with some repairs made in the early 20th century. It features a timber-frame structure with sheet cladding set on a coursed rubble base, topped by a graduated stone tile roof. The south front includes a ledged and boarded door with strap hinges on each floor. At the top, the roof is finished with a square-plan glover that has a pyramidal roof. The framing consists of small scantling with two rectangular panels high.
