Description

Pitch Cottage is a house dating from the 17th century, with some repairs made in the late 19th century and mid-20th century. It features a timber frame with rendered infill set on a coursed rubble plinth, and it is partially weatherboarded with a thatched roof. The building has two framed bays aligned north to south and includes an external gable-end stack to the north made of rubble with a brick shaft. The west front is a single storey and has two 2-light casement windows. The entrance, located to the left of centre, is accessed through a gabled thatched porch that contains a 19th-century ledged and boarded door. The framing on the front wall consists of three square panels high.
