Description
Meadow Cottage is a house dating from the 17th century, with some restoration carried out in the late 20th century. It features a timber-frame construction with rendered infill, set on a painted coursed rubble plinth beneath a tile roof. The building consists of two framed bays oriented north-west to south-east. At the rear (south-west) wall, there is a lateral stack with a brick shaft. The north-east front has two storeys and includes two two-light casement windows on the upper floor, while the ground floor has three similar casements. The entrance is located in the right-hand gable end and is accessed through a 19th-century half-glazed porch with pierced bargeboards. The framing consists of four square panels in height, and the right-hand gable features three struts supporting the collar. The plastered left-hand gable may have originally extended further, possibly as a cross-wing.
