Description

Fenmore is a farmhouse dating from the 17th century, with some rebuilding in the early 19th century. It is timber-framed with painted brick and rendered infill, partly rebuilt in painted brick, and has a tile roof. The building has three framed bays aligned north-west/south-east, featuring a central axial stack. The south-west front has two storeys with two windows: a two-light casement to the left and a four-light sash to the right. The right-hand window on the ground floor has a segmental head. The entrance is in the northern gable and includes a gabled canopy and a half-glazed door. The timber framing is four square panels high and features straight angle braces. The gable-end truss has one strut to the collar. The group value of this building is that it represents an important example of a regional farmhouse type.
