Description

Lower Rhydimoor Farmhouse is a farmhouse dating from the 17th century, with some alterations made in the mid-19th century and late 20th century. It features a timber-frame structure with rendered infill, which is underbuilt in painted brick and topped with a hipped slate roof. The building is arranged in an L-shape, with extensions to the east and north. There is an external stack made of rubble on the north gable. An additional 17th-century range is attached to the northeast corner of the northern range, extending to the east.

The west front of the farmhouse has two storeys and includes two 2-light casement windows on the upper floor. The ground floor features two 3-light casement windows beneath a continuous plank weathering. The entrance is located at the left-hand gable end. The framing on the first floor consists of two square panels, while the other range displays diagonal framing on the east gable. Inside, there is an inglenook with a mantel beam, and the corner room contains 17th-century panelling along with a corner cupboard dating from the late 17th to early 18th century.
