Description
Lower Moccas Farmhouse is a farmhouse dating from the early to late 17th century, with some alterations made in the mid-20th century. It features a timber-frame structure with rendered and painted brick infill set on a rubble plinth, topped by a stone tile roof. The building is arranged in an L-plan, with the front range consisting of three bays extending to the west, and a rear range from the late 17th century to the south. There is an axial stack located towards the west end of the front range. The north front has one storey with an attic, which is illuminated by two gabled dormers. There are three windows on this side: two 3-light casements and one 2-light casement to the left. The entrance, located to the left of centre, features a wooden architrave and a ledged and boarded door. The framing consists of three square panels high with straight angle braces, while the rear wing is taller and has two rectangular panels with straight tension braces.
