Description

This is a 17th-century house, likely originally known as Lower Moccas Cottage, that has been restored in the late 20th century. It is timber-framed with rendered infill between the timbers, resting on a rubble plinth, and has a roof covered in machine tiles. The house has three framed bays aligned north/south, with a rubble chimney stack on the north gable. The west front is single-storey with an attic space lit by a gabled dormer window. On the ground floor are two sets of single-light casement windows, and an entrance with a 20th-century glazed porch located in the right-hand corner. The timber framing is arranged in three square panels vertically, and the gable-end truss has a collar with supporting struts below.
