Description
Whitehouse Farmhouse is a farmhouse dating from the 17th century, with alterations from the late 18th century and additions from the mid-19th century, as well as some changes from the mid-20th century. It features a timber frame with painted brick infill, which is clad in brick, and has a tiled roof. The building is arranged in an L-shape, with ranges extending to the west and north.
On the north front, there is a gabled wing that projects to the left, and to the right of this is a gabled addition from the 19th century. In the right-hand corner, there is a single-storey lean-to made of random rubble from the 18th century. The building has two storeys, with a gable-lit attic. On the first floor, there is a three-light casement window to the left, while the ground floor features a two-light casement window. To the right, there is a 20th-century flat-roofed extension with an entrance. The framing is visible in the left-hand gable, which has four square panels high.
