Description
Rock Moor Farmhouse is a farmhouse built in 1640, with alterations made in the mid-19th century and late 20th century. It features a timber-frame structure with painted brick infill and a machine tile roof. The building consists of three framed bays arranged east to west, with a stack located in the east bay and a lobby-entry accessed through a contemporary south porch. The south front has two storeys and includes a short gabled brick wing added to the right-hand corner, with a gabled porch to the left. There are three windows, which are 2-light casements. On the ground floor, there is a lean-to conservatory attached to the porch, which has an underbuilt jetty supported by consoles. The framing of the porch consists of four square panels, while the main range has five square panels high. The porch is dated 1640.
