Description

Nineveh Farmhouse is a farmhouse dating from the 17th century, with alterations made in the mid-19th century and mid-20th century. It features a timber-framed structure with painted brick and rendered infill, a brick plinth, and replacement walling and additions, topped with a fishscale-tiled roof. The building consists of two framed bays aligned north to south, with external chimneys that have offsets and large decorative 19th-century stacks with cogged courses at the gable ends. It is a single storey with an attic that includes dormers.

The framing includes three panels from the sill to the wall-plate, and a collar and tie-beam truss with two struts visible at the north gable end. On the west front elevation, the ground floor features a 19th-century canted bay window with metal casements on the left and a 20th-century three-light casement window on the right. There are two gabled dormers with 20th-century two-light casements, and the central entrance has a 19th-century gabled timber-framed porch, with a 20th-century door and windows that include two latticed lights on the side elevations. The porch, dormers, and gable ends are adorned with moulded bargeboards. The interior has not been inspected, and there is a 19th-century addition at the rear that contains the current main entrance.
