Description

This barn, located about 25 yards south of Lower Buckenhill Farmhouse, is likely from the 18th century. It features a sandstone rubble plinth and a timber frame with weather-boards and a pantiled roof. The structure has four bays aligned in a north-east to south-west direction. On the north elevation, there is a full-height ledged entry in the second bay from the right, and another entry is located in the east gable beneath the tallet. Inside, the barn has trusses supported by two posts that connect ties to collars, which then carry angle struts.
