Description

This is an 18th-century barn located at Lower Poppinger. It is timber-framed and has been clad in weatherboarding. The barn sits on a sandstone plinth and has a pantiled roof. Originally, the barn had five bays aligned north to south, with the main entrance in the second bay from the north; a further entrance was added in the 20th century in the southernmost bay. The roof structure is supported by inclined strut trusses.
