Description

Eastwood is a farmhouse, likely dating from the 18th century with alterations and extensions in the 19th century. It is timber-framed, with a brick extension, and has tiled roofs. A brick chimney sits on the side of the building. The farmhouse is arranged in an "L" shape, with the main range running north to south and at a right angle to the road. The main range is two storeys high. The gable end facing the road has three-light casement windows. The east side has two windows; the upper-floor windows are 18th-century wrought iron casements, while the ground-floor windows are partially obscured by a late 19th or early 20th century glazed lean-to, which includes an entrance on the left. A second entrance is located in the centre of the west side. The timber framing is four panels high from the window sill to the wall plate. A 19th-century brick extension, likely a kitchen, is attached to the north end of the main range on its east side.
