Description

Waggoners Cottage is a cottage that likely dates from the late 17th century to early 18th century, with alterations made in the late 19th and early 20th centuries. It features a timber frame with brick infill and a corrugated asbestos roof. An external stone stack with diagonal brick shafts is located on the right-hand gable facing the road. The cottage consists of two structural bays aligned east to west and is one storey with an attic. The south elevation includes two windows and raking-top dormers, with late 19th and 20th century casement windows. The entrance, positioned to the right of center, has double-leafed glazed doors, and there are angle braces extending from the tops of the left corner post and the center post to the wall-plate.
