Description
Caplor Farmhouse is an 18th-century farmhouse with minor 20th-century alterations. It is constructed of painted sandstone rubble and has a slate roof. The building is a single-depth range aligned east to west, featuring a through-passage and a large lateral stack on the north side, along with a stack at the west gable end. There is a single-storey addition to the north. The farmhouse has two storeys and a cellar, with an irregular arrangement of windows on the south front. To the left, there is a 2-light 20th-century window, and to the right, a 3-light casement window. At the mezzanine level, there is a central 2-light cross-casement window that lights the staircase. To the right of the entrance, which has a moulded architrave and a ledged door obscured by a 20th-century lean-to shelter, there is one 3-light casement window and one 2-light cross-casement window. Inside, the farmhouse retains a simple dog-leg staircase.
