Description
Hawkersland Cottage is a cottage that likely dates from the early 18th century and has been altered and extended in the late 19th century and late 20th century. It features a timber frame with a rubble plinth and a corrugated asbestos roof. The cottage has an external local type stone end stack with a detached brick shaft on the west gable. It consists of two bays aligned east to west and is one storey with an attic.
On the south elevation, there are two late 19th century 2-light casement windows, one on either side of the door. Above, there are two raking top dormers with 1950s 2-light steel casements. The entry is located left of centre and features a late 19th century ledged door with an early 20th century latticed porch. The north elevation is partly obscured by a single storey flat-roofed extension built around 1980.
