Description
Burmarsh House is a house that possibly dates from the 18th century and was extended in the late 20th century. It features a timber frame with plaster infill set on a low rubble plinth and has a slate roof. There is an external stack to the west with a detached brick shaft. The house is two bays wide and aligned east to west, with two storeys and three windows on the south elevation. The windows are mid-20th century glazing bar casements, with two on the ground floor and two on the first floor, along with a contemporary small casement window between them. To the left of the centre is an 18th-century ledged door. The framing consists of two panels high on the ground floor and two further panels high on the first floor. There is a small lean-to extension to the left that envelops the stack, as well as a 20th-century stone lean-to with an asbestos slate roof along the north wall. Additionally, there are remains of a cider mill to the south, which are not included in the listing.
