Description

New House Farmhouse and front garden walls are a farmhouse and garden walls that likely date from the 17th century, with extensions and remodels made in the early 19th century. The building features a timber frame that is mostly covered in brick, a dentilled eaves cornice, and a hipped slate roof, with a stepped external stack on the south and west sides. It has a rectangular plan that runs roughly north to south and stands two storeys tall.

On the west elevation, there are two windows with regularly spaced 20th-century casements to the left of a large stack, along with an early 20th-century porch and door. A late 19th-century pent-roofed extension, which is two windows wide, connects the house to the adjoining stables. The south elevation has a ground floor left-hand window with 42 panes divided into two vertically divided halves under a segmental head, each half featuring a central swivelling section of six panes. There are three windows on the first floor and a gabled central porch. The east wall displays a large area of timber framing, located south of the rear entrance. The garden walls are approximately five feet high, constructed of brick to the north where they return to the stables, and stone to the west and south.
