Description
Home Farmhouse and attached stableblock is a farmhouse dating from the 17th century, with an extension added in the 18th century. The building is timber-framed and features mid-18th century brick cladding and roughcast rendering. It has a tiled roof with brick stacks at both ends. The farmhouse is two storeys high and has a three-window range. The entrance includes a panelled door set within an 18th century doorcase that has pilasters and a flat hood with moulded consoles. The ground floor has 24-pane casements, while the first storey features casements with 16 panes in the middle and 24 panes on the sides. The exterior also includes a plinth, a string course at the first storey, and a dentilled eaves cornice. The roof is hipped on the left side. Inside, there are chamfered beams with stops, original plank doors, and timber and plaster partitions in the 17th century rooms at the front. To the right of the house is a late 19th century stable block made of brick, which includes late 18th and 19th century casements and plank doors, as well as a brick dentilled eaves cornice.
