Description
Staddlestones is a house, likely from the 17th century, that has been restored and extended in the late 20th century. It features a timber frame with plaster infill and plain tiled roofs, along with an external stone stack that has a brick shaft located at the center of the southwest side. The building has four bays arranged in a northwest to southeast direction, with the two southeast bays slightly projecting forward from the southwest elevation. It is one storey and has an attic, with a small two-light late 20th-century casement window to the right of a roughly central contemporary gabled porch and door. There is also a mid- to late 20th-century lean-to extension to the left of the door. The northeast elevation displays continuous framing of four bays, with three panels high from the cill to the wall-plate. The southeast gable features raking struts above the collar.
